Jason has over 22 years of professional experience, including over 15 years in the hedge and private equity fund space, with particular expertise in developing board support solutions for clients, portfolio valuation and risk management.

Prior to joining Calderwood, Jason was Head of Client Operations and Executive Director at MUFG Alternative Fund Services (Cayman) Limited, one of the largest fund administrators in the Cayman Islands.  He spent over 15 years with MUFG, including with UBS Fund Services (Cayman) Ltd, prior to the MUFG acquisition.

His extensive experience in this role included responsibility for the firm’s fund administration business, as well as operational delivery of fund accounting and related NAVs, client reporting and other services. Jason managed a team of more than 80 people, providing services to hedge funds, fund of hedge funds and private equity funds in the Cayman Islands. On relocating to the Cayman Islands, Jason worked with Deloitte & Touche, having previously been a Manager at PwC in Canada.

Jason is qualified as a Professional Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) in Canada and holds a Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in Accounting degree from University of Saskatchewan, Canada.  His other interests include serving as the Treasurer for the Caribbean Golf Association and as National Team Coordinator for the Cayman Islands Golf Association.
