He has over 17 years of experience in the financial services sector, specializing in hedge funds, private equity, private credit and venture capital funds, overseeing and providing guidance for new fund launches and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Prior to joining Calderwood, Niall was a Managing Director of Waystone Governance based in the Cayman Islands. In this role, he provided client solutions for investment managers, assisting them with their structuring and regulatory compliance. His experience covers fund governance matters relating to regulated European, Cayman and other offshore vehicles and extends to US compliance and fund administration services.

In addition, Niall led Waystone Market Access (Cayman), a regulated, investment management company which provided hosted management company and economic substance solutions to a variety of investment advisors.

Niall began his career working with HSBC Securities Services in Dublin. Prior to joining Waystone, he worked as Deputy Group Head at MUFG Alternative Fund Services Ireland (previously UBS Fund Services Ireland) where he managed a team of accountants in a client-facing role, overseeing assets in excess of US$6 billion. Niall is also a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
