Rena has over 20 years’ experience in the reinsurance/insurance industry having held various positions in property & casualty insurance/reinsurance, life & pension and captive insurance. Prior to joining Calderwood, she worked for Greenlight Re in the Cayman Islands as the Team Head for middle office operations.

In her previous employment, Rena consulted for AIG in both London and New York, working with the capital management department and the finance transformation project teams. Prior to her time at AIG, Rena served as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in London working with life and pension business and a Lloyds’ property and casualty syndicate. She began her insurance career in 2001 with Global Captive Management in the Cayman Islands.

Rena holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Canada. She also holds an Associate in Reinsurance designation and is a is a Registered Professional Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.
